Are you a caring parent who wants your children to do well in all aspects of life, including school, career, relationships, friendships, mental, emotional, and physical well-being?
If so, teach your children how to be Emotionally Intelligent, i.e., explore, identify, label, acknowledge and cope with their feelings in healthy ways.
High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is often associated with success in various areas of life. Children with High EQ tend to perform well in building secure attachments within relationships, cope well with trauma and adversities, show up as Authentic individuals, and live Authentically.
In addition to helping your children develop their EQ, are you a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of colour) parent looking for children’s books that encourage diversity and inclusivity? Would you like to help your BIPOC children identify and resonate with the main character? Are you looking for children’s books where BIPOC female characters are the main characters of their own narratives?
In this charming little story, Alizeh, a brave young explorer, takes you and your child on a Mindfulness adventure, where she discovers how to cope with worries through the use of her five senses (sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste). The story is set within the calming backdrop of nature.
This book teaches your children to explore, identify, label, and acknowledge emotions while learning about Mindfulness, and using it to cope with their worries, be present in the moment, develop resilience for life adversities, accept diversity, and thrive in a multicultural and inclusive environment.
While working with my wonderful clients over the years as a Registered Psychotherapist, I noticed their struggle with allowing themselves to feel their emotions. I noticed I would use some prompts and questions consistently with them in their journey of self-exploration, reflection, and healing. So, I decided to compile some of these prompts and questions together and it became this Self-Healing Journal.
This Self-Healing Journal will help you pause, slow down, self-reflect, and engage in the fulfilling process of healing. It includes prompts loosely based on a combination of therapeutic modalities, including, Internal Family Systems, Parts work, Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion. These modalities are used in Psychotherapy to explore the inner world from a place of curiosity and compassion while sitting with distress, nurturing self-love, and creating a sense of inner peace.
This guided journal will help you:
- Explore your inner world, including parts of you that may be causing inner conflict
- Allow yourself to add journaling as a healthy coping strategy in your day-to-day routine
- Allow for daily reflection, which will help you stay grounded, present in the moment, and attuned to your Inner Self
- Engage in the process of Self-Healing
- Allow yourself to use writing as a coping mechanism to release stress, worries, and anxieties
- Allow you to onnect with your feelings and needs
- Slow down and self-reflect from a new perspective
- Guide you in getting to know and understand yourself on a deeper level
This journal has been designed, with intention and purpose, to be a safe space for you, where you can safely engage in the process of Self-Healing. It has also been designed to be an adjunct resource to therapy.
Note: This journal is not intended to be a substitute for professional therapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
